COUNTRYSIDE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scheck Industries (www.goscheck.com), a full-service national industrial piping and mechanical construction contractor, announces that Kevin P. McDonnell has joined the Scheck team as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. McDonnell will be responsible for the group’s financial operations, including accounting and reporting, cash management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and audit.

Mr. McDonnell recently served as CFO at Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), a closely held and international philanthropic management consulting firm, where he led the financial operations of the firm, including strategic planning, financial and management reporting and consulting services. He has also held financial and operating leadership roles in public, private-equity backed, and family owned companies in the U.S. and Europe such as Sara Lee, Kraft, GG+A, WRS Compass and Kenny Construction Company.
He has led transformational projects that yielded operating improvements across finance, information technology, procurement, human resources, and marketing. In addition, he has experience in a number of business acquisitions and divestitures, ranging from due diligence, transaction structuring and pricing to post-merger integration.
His board service includes the Girl Scouts of Chicago and Northwest Indiana, where he is a director and a member of its Finance, Audit and Property Committees, and chairs its Investment Committee; the Alumni Association Board of the College of Business at the University of Illinois; and a director and treasurer of the Housing Corporation Board for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at the University of Illinois.
Mr. McDonnell is a member of the Illinois CPA Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a B.S. with honors in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Kevin and his wife Susan have three children, and reside in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
